THE PATH TO LICENSE
Steps to Obtaining a Wisconsin Real Estate License
MEETING THE LICENSING REQUIREMENT
You must be 18 years old and employed by and licensed under a firm to list and sell real estate in Wisconsin.
MEETING THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
You must complete 72 hours of approved classroom education in the area of "Real Property Law and Practice," prior to applying for your Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson License.
TAKING THE EXAM
The state exam is offered at various locations throughout Wisconsin and you may register online or by phone with the testing company approved by the State of Wisconsin.
APPLYING FOR YOUR LICENSE
You need a score of 75% or more to pass the exam. Candidates who pass the exam may submit an online application to the Department of Safety and Professional Services for approval.
